FAQs

Yes. Every preloved piece is professionally cleaned using non-toxic, fragrance-free profesisonal textile detergent, then treated with our natural lanolin wool conditioner to restore softness, lustre and performance. Each garment is ready to wear when it reaches you.

Our own in-house blend is a 100% natural lanolin treatment that replenishes the wool’s natural oils - often depleated through laundering over time, helping to restore softness, improve comfort against the skin and support Merino’s natural performance. Think of it as akin to a deep conditioning pack for your hair!

No - Merino is an exceptionally resilient fibre, and one of the reasons we champion it. With proper care and restoration, preloved pieces retain the same breathable warmth, softness and performance as new. If - on assesment - our team feel the structure of the merino has been compromised (by exposure to bio liquids or bleach for example) it will not make the grade for resale

Each piece is individually assessed, restored and graded. Some may show visible signs of wear, while others are closer to new - with condition reflected in the price. All items are fully functional and carefully prepared for continued use. Check the A-C grade on the listing for a guide

Where needed, we carry out careful repairs to extend the life of each garment. Some repairs may be visible, others more discreet — depending on the nature of the work. Any notable features are reflected in the product description.

Yes — in some cases, we use professional, non-toxic dyes designed specifically for wool to restore colour or refresh pieces that have faded or marked. This is always done with care to maintain the integrity and feel of the garment. With overdyed items washing seperately to lighter items is recommended for the first 1-2 washes

We use only fragrance-free, non-toxic detergents and do our best to remove any residues from a garment’s previous life. In most cases, this is fully achieved. Very occasionally, a faint trace of prior laundering products may remain (some are more persistent than others). If you are sensitive to fragrances our team can advise on further removal steps, however please understand that preloved garments inherantly do come having had a former life.
