Most Merino sleeping bags are single-layer knits with modest wool content. Ours are different: a higher percentage of superfine Merino, knitted in a double structure that traps gentle warmth and allows air to circulate. The result? Safer, higher quality sleep and less night waking.

Superfine Merino creates a highly breathable, temperature-regulating microclimate around the body, helping little ones stay cosy and comfortable all night while being naturally protected from overheating.

Your baby’s sleeping bag is just one part of their sleep system. What they wear underneath matters too - because those layers sit closest to the skin.
We always recommend choosing natural, breathable fibres for underlayers.
Merino in cooler conditions
Merino wool naturally helps regulate body temperature. It gently warms when it’s cold, releases excess heat when it’s warm, and manages moisture so skin stays dry and comfortable. This supports a more stable temperature through the night - especially in winter, cooler homes, or when rooms cool overnight.
That’s why we see the best results in cooler conditions when Merino underlayers are paired with a Merino sleeping bag - they’re designed to work together.
Cotton and bamboo in warmer weather
Cotton and bamboo are lovely in warm conditions, but in cooler rooms they tend to hold moisture, which can feel cooler against the skin and reduce the insulating effect of the outer layer.
